RAINBOW MOUNTAINS

At the Zhangye Danxia Landform Geological Park in Gansu, China, tourists flock to see China's own version of the Grand Canyon: A mountain range of densely packed layers of minerals and rock that are dramatically striated into a layer cake of magenta, maroon, and lemon-colored stone. 

Rainbow mountains are extremely beautiful. It is unique, with many gorgeous colour they have. I want to go there because it seems so interesting. I've never seen any of mountains whose colour is rainbow like this.

So how is it formed ? it was formed by the erosion of red sandstone, forming isolated peaks and sterp stratified outcrops. Its special geological structure, combined with long-term desert conditions, freeze-thaw peeling and wind, and water erosion gave rise to its present appereance. 

The Rainbow Mountains are cretaceous sandstones and siltstones that were deposited in China before the Himalayan Mountains were formed. The sand and silt was deposited with iron and trace minerals that provided it with the key ingredient to form the colors we see today.

What was once a layered horizontal and flat stratigraphy was disrupted by the Indian Plate colliding into the Eurasian plate approximately 55 million years ago. Much like when two cars get in a wreck and the bumpers fold and break, a similar process folded what was once flat sandstones into the Rainbow Mountains we see today. This process uplifted mountains and exposed sedimentary rocks that were otherwise hidden well below the surface of the earth. Weathering and erosion removed the overlying layers of continental siliciclastic rocks and exposed underlying formations with different mineralogy and chemistry. This causes the striking variation in colors seen across the Rainbow Mountains.

Geologist believe that rainbow mountains topography is formed by folding of layered oceanic crust. Exposed slanting rock layers have different colours, textures, shapes,  sizes, and patterns. The combination of differences is density and erosion create towering peaks, cave holes, and stone halls.

PEACE

World without peace is terrible. Can you imagine when there are a lot of wars everywhere and everytime ? peace as for now is hard to find. We have to stop this. Let the world be in peace so that we can live happily. 

Everyone has to live in safety, without fear. We have to love each other so that we can live in peace. We can start with our family first. We have to love our parents, our brothers or sisters and any other people in the family. We have to take care of them and help them when they need help.

Peace is a stress-free state of security and calmness that comes when there’s no fighting or war, everything coexisting in perfect harmony and freedom.

In our war-torn world, it seems like there’s not nearly enough peace. However peace can be big and small, seen in entire countries or brief moments. After a war, two countries may sign a peace treaty, agreeing to not fight anymore. When you feel at peace with yourself, you are content to be the person you are, flaws and everything.

Peace occurs between heterogeneous social groups and is characterized by a lack of conflict and freedom from fear of violence. Commonly understood as the absence of hostility, peace often involves compromise, and therefore is initiated with thoughtful listening and communication to enhance and create mutual understanding.

Peace can be defined in a positive direction and in a negative sense. Positively, peace is a state of tranquility and stillness; however, in a negative sense, peace is the absence of war or violence.

We can start sharing our positive thoughts with everyone, in every place, and everytime. Let the world be in peace !!

MEGANTARA

Megantara is an arts and Cultural Festival events organized by SMAN 3 Bandung. The event was attended by RAN, The Changcuters, OSD HMT-ITB, Bali, the Puri's Studio SME Hamdani, Wayang Golek Son Giri Rampak Kendang 3 Harja, Darul Hikam, ElHouse Art Production, Art Sunda Group 3, Choral: Angklung 3 family, group Vocals, classical music 3, Tiloe's Theatre, Band 3.
In addition, opened also a variety of food booths and regional art and culture in Indonesia, such as Borneo, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Java, etc.
 
Megantara was held on 10 september 2016. It is one of SMAN 3 Bandung events. It was inspired by many cultures in Indonesia, such  as Jawa, Kalimantan, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Papua. It was nice to go there, the festival made us not to forget all the indonesian culture, it made us enjoy the entire activity with the modern concept they've made.

There were some artists who came to give more colour in the festival. They've been success to make megantara be more exciting. Megantara also show us about the instrumental of indonesia, so if we don't know about it before, we can know it when we came to the festival.

The light and the scenic of the night  gathered became something beautiful. People scream with joy, it made people who already made the beautiful festival felt really proud for what they have been done. That day was a really unforgettable moment in my life.
